If we haven't met yet, hola, I'm Hannah, and let me tell you, it has always been Spanish. I've never just liked it, I've always been obsessed.
I went on my first family holiday to Mallorca at 10 years old - sun, sea, sand, my family laughing, having a good time - and something in me healed.
From the first day of secondary school, I was absolutely hooked. The way the language sounded, the way it flowed and moved, the lightness, the lifestyle - *chef's kiss*. And I knew very early on that Spanish had to stay in my life.
I went to uni, I moved to Madrid, and walking through los jardines de Aranjuez, feeling the warm sun beating down on me and hearing people speaking Spanish all around me.. I nearly cried. It filled something in my soul.
So, desperate to show more people the magic of Spanish, I got every qualification I could in order to be the best Spanish teacher I could be. And after 7 years in secondary school, I realised I wanted to branch out further. Bring Spanish to as many people as I could, not just in a classroom.
And so Spanish OBSESSED was born.
Why it's different over here
Most Spanish courses are built for exams, classrooms, or apps, and honestly, they're all the same. They teach a topic at a time, a grammar point at a time, and it takes forever for the jigsaw pieces to fit together.
At Spanish OBSESSED, I build programmes based on conversational objectives. In other words, I help you actually speak the Spanish you want to speak. Slowly, accurately, messily, and playfully. Because when you play with Spanish, the rewards are enormous.
